Welp this picture was bound to happen sooner or later.
…I don’t have the time to speculate on this, and Shalua’s Yule gift to me is only throwing up somewhat conflicting definitions.
Put simply, I have no idea. Perhaps if you ask around you can find an answer to your question, grey-face.
Hello again, spiritthatdenies. You have impeccable timing, I must say… I have only just come back from a particularly knotty problem that was taking up a large proportion of my time and was therefore looking for a way to ease myself back into public communications.
I will presume your question relates more to the recent AVALANCHE incarnation as opposed to the one back in the early 2000s. Not that it particularly matters, all things considered… for it seems we only all get together when we have something to fight against.
Personally I do still see people on an individual basis, or indeed a couple at a time, but that is all. Tifa is busy with the bar and the children depend upon her, Cloud is… well Cloud is useful to have on standby for certain deliveries but deserves to spend his days as he sees fit, and Barret I see on work terms only, which suits me just fine.
Cid I’m working with on a project that is ongoing, in addition to meeting with him about his duties. I am also working with Aerith on a project, though that has yet to fully ‘take flight’ as it were.
Nanaki is… currently in a wee bit of a predicament if Cait Sith’s recordings are reliable, which I can assure you now, they most definitely are. That said I am quite sure he can cope with his recent misfortunes, being the brave soul that he is.
I occasionally have zombie movie marathons with Yuffie, when she is not giving me a headache and disappearing from her own role with the W.R.O which can be quite often. She also does not like me talking with Godo, much for some unknown reason…
And Vincent? Well Vincent likes to think of himself as apart from all of this, but I have come to suspect different.
Hm… perhaps we should endeavour to meet, all together, without threat of impending apocalypse. Though it is highly unlikely. Sometimes, spiritthatdenies, you just cannot ignore the fact people have their own lives and priorities. Indeed it is only when something desperate arises do we see moments of great cameraderie.
But at least those moments are more palatable than the alternative.

[[Seriously, how do you do that? Once more with impeccable timing. Also, I know this is not the most aligned answer you could have hoped for, but it was all he would give me. 8|]]
tseng-san replied to your post: Why did you pick a cat when you were designing Cait Sith? Are cats your favorite animal, or was there another reason behind your choice?
(If not a cat, what is your favourite animal, Reeve?)
I’ve not really given it much thought, Tseng, in spite of the fact you would also find it difficult to get my head out of bestiaries when I was really young.
Something impressive probably - like the dragon breeds, coeurls or even guard hounds, though I have been attacked by the latter enough to wish not to personally encounter any more.
I shall work backwards with your two questions, anon. Cats are not my favourite animal, though I do share the apartment with a total of three cats now, excluding Cait Sith who comes and gos as he pleases.
There were two primary reasons for choosing this specific feline form:
As a child I generally spent a lot of time in my own head, it was not an easy task for anybody to keep my concentration focussed on things in front of me. However, when I was six we had an influx of stray cats into our garden and that started to change things.
With my Father’s help I managed to house these strays. It was my first piece of construction and I spent hours crafting it, only to find that then I was quite content to spend even more hours watching these little cats go about their lives.
More strays arrived, attracted by the shelter and the sparse food we could provide. I watched them fight over scraps, watched them mate and give birth, watched mothers eating their own kittens, watched them die of disease or accident unable to feed themselves whilst the strongest continued to thrive.
These stray cats gave me a more tangible understanding of animal drives than even my parents or the other important figures in my life I had back as a wee boy. Latterly I started ascribing them their own names and stories based on their positions under the plate; taking the names and personalities from the books of myths and monsters my Mother used to give me.
When I thought of an automaton crafted for the purpose of infiltrating and spying upon our own animal natures, my thoughts immediately went back to those strays; to the black and white Cait Sidhe of legend, and that of my own back yard.
The other reason was… well, let’s just say, what do you think of first when you see a feline with booties, neckerchief and crown? Do you think first of the purpose on which the designs were based? Or does my dear creation merely strike you as ‘daft’, ‘silly’, ‘cute’, ‘adorable’, ‘annoying’, ‘ridiculous’ or all manner of such adjectives?
How I actually arrived at the final designs is a bit more of a roundabout story, but I will leave that there. I have said quite enough I believe.

Dude, you’re the reason I like Reeve! I never really dug him in DoC.
OOC: Did you get my reply about this before? I’m over the moon that you like him now, though really shame on you for not appreciating your creepy-Bro sooner! 8| I feel the same way about your Cid (though I’ve always liked the guy) their interactions have been so much fun so far *barrel-rolls on over*
crimson-sun replied to your post: Excuse me, may I whisper in your ear that you are the best Reeve in the world?
ALL OF THE AGREEMENT.
