The Case of Rufus & Reeve...
[[OOC: Finally - FINALLY - got around to answering the excellent question by acomplicateddreamer. It took me so long to come up with an answer because I have been entirely unsatisfied with the results. It is still far from perfect >.>
There is a lot of headcanon in my head between Rufus & Reeve, some of which unfortunately directly contradicts the rest. I just wanted to put this out...

I was wrong in my estimation of when myself and Reeve would be back online, for which I’m very sorry. And so much has been happening from the looks of it ^_~
