Hello again, spiritthatdenies. You have impeccable timing, I must say… I have only just come back from a particularly knotty problem that was taking up a large proportion of my time and was therefore looking for a way to ease myself back into public communications.
I will presume your question relates more to the recent AVALANCHE incarnation as opposed to the one back in the early 2000s. Not that it particularly matters, all things considered… for it seems we only all get together when we have something to fight against.
Personally I do still see people on an individual basis, or indeed a couple at a time, but that is all. Tifa is busy with the bar and the children depend upon her, Cloud is… well Cloud is useful to have on standby for certain deliveries but deserves to spend his days as he sees fit, and Barret I see on work terms only, which suits me just fine.
Cid I’m working with on a project that is ongoing, in addition to meeting with him about his duties. I am also working with Aerith on a project, though that has yet to fully ‘take flight’ as it were.
Nanaki is… currently in a wee bit of a predicament if Cait Sith’s recordings are reliable, which I can assure you now, they most definitely are. That said I am quite sure he can cope with his recent misfortunes, being the brave soul that he is.
I occasionally have zombie movie marathons with Yuffie, when she is not giving me a headache and disappearing from her own role with the W.R.O which can be quite often. She also does not like me talking with Godo, much for some unknown reason…
And Vincent? Well Vincent likes to think of himself as apart from all of this, but I have come to suspect different.
Hm… perhaps we should endeavour to meet, all together, without threat of impending apocalypse. Though it is highly unlikely. Sometimes, spiritthatdenies, you just cannot ignore the fact people have their own lives and priorities. Indeed it is only when something desperate arises do we see moments of great cameraderie.
But at least those moments are more palatable than the alternative.

Hello again, spiritthatdenies. Just Reeve or Commissioner will do, it has been a long time since I was Director.
My 21st ended as a consequence of naïve stupidity, bad timing and the natures of man. It is not a story I care to recall in great detail, but I do not mind giving you the basics.
I had decided to take a trip through the slums to celebrate the anniversary of my birth when I was alerted to an event at one of the reactor cores. There was an accident after I had started to work on the problem, caused in part by my own arrogance, and following that I was promptly targeted by some men; somewhat unsurprisingly given the state I was in.
That and the fact that suits tended to attract a lot of attention under plate; whether the blue of the Turks, as was the colour back then, or my own suit of moss-green.
It was that night that cemented a path away from another, following my rescue, though I do prefer to have had that choice. It was also the first night I saw someone die in front of my eyes. It was Veld who saved me then. Afterwards I somehow became a commodity to be monitored.
As for meeting SOLDIER, Sephiroth apparently does not recall, but I remember quite clearly meeting him as a young teenager in the laboratories of Science and Research. Later, during one of my favours to Lazard fixing up the training holosuites, I met Angeal Hewley and Genesis Rhapsodos.
I also met the irrepressible Mr. Fair, in the canteen, but he was not particularly interested in meeting the man behind those boring Urban Development updates and it was more by association to Kunsel that we even exchanged greetings. Kunsel and I were closer associates, in spite of our differences to the day job.
